The International Journal of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (IJMEL) is pleased to announce a Call for Papers for its inaugural issue (Volume 1, Issue 1 – 2026).
IJMEL is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarship and practice in monitoring, evaluation, learning, policy analysis, and evidence use across multiple sectors, with particular relevance to Africa and the Global South.
We welcome high-quality submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Public Sector, Governance & Legal Systems MEL
- Development & NGO Programme MEL
- Health Systems & Public Health Evaluation
- Education & Human Capital Evaluation
- Environment & Climate Change Evaluation
- Gender, Equity & Social Inclusion (GESI) Evaluation
- Private Sector, Business & Corporate Performance MEL
- Methodological and Cross-Sector MEL
Types of submissions accepted include original research articles, review papers, conceptual papers, policy analyses, applied practice and case studies, methodological innovations, and teaching cases in MEL.
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Accepted articles will be published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the IJMEL online submission system.
